Bay:

Gardener's:
made with cornmeal to give a fine scrubbing action which will clean dirty hands beautifully. Delightfully scented with patchouli, litsea cubeba and lemongrass.
Geranium Lavender & Chamomile:
a very gentle soap containing essential oils of geranium, chamomile and lavender. Excellent for all skin types.
Hemp:
made with hemp oil , which contains fatty acids, vitamins and enzymes that are easily absorbed by the skin. The oil, pressed from the seed of the hemp plant, makes a lovely rich moisturising soap.
Lavender:
a beautiful soap, made with a mix of oils, including apricot kernel oil and shea butter, plus essential oils of lavender and ho wood and finely powdered lavender flowers. This is a gently exfoliating soap, designed to leave skin cleansed and soothed.
Orange Cardamon & Clove:
a spicy citrus scent, made with essential oils of sweet orange, bitter orange, cinnamon leaf and clove bud oils.
Juniper & Lemongrass:
a fresh, aqua blue and white soap, made with lavender, juniper needle and lemongrass essential oils.
Simply Pure:

The Tree-harvest range of pre-blended body oils has been developed to offer a simple, delightful and natural treatment for the skin. They contain blends of high quality pure essential oils in a sweet almond oil base and are ready for direct use on the skin. Linden Relaxation Oil

This exquisite oil is made from precious argan oil, which only comes from Morocco. It is used by Moroccan women to keep their skin soft, smooth, moisturised and protected, where it is believed to have strong anti-oxidative properties and it is often used to combat physiological ageing and drying of skin. It is thought to protect skin elasticity and benefit cellular function and structure of the skin. It takes about 100kg of fruit and eight hours of work to make 1 litre of argan oil. It is produced exclusively by Berber women. Here, argan oil has been blended with linden absolute, linden macerated oil, linden hydrolat and linden flower essence. Linden has traditionally been recognised for its ability to calm anxieties, alleviate stress and to release emotional and physical tension. The linden relaxation oil is a highly moisturising oil and is particularly well suited to be used on the face and neck. Also linden blossom contains proanthocyanins, which have been shown to soothe sensitive skin and to reinforce the skin's natural defenses against free radicals.
Monoi de Tahiti
Monoi de tahiti is made in a traditional way in the coral atolls of French Polynesia, by soaking gardenia blossoms in pure rich coconut oil, producing a very special product, with soothing properties. This beautifully scented oil has been traditionally used to moisturise and protect hair and skin. Solid at normal room temperature, it melts on contact with the skin or at temperatures over 23 degrees. In very warm summer weather, the product is liquid. Tree-harvest's Monois are authentic and have the AOC stamp, guaranteeing the quality of its manufacturing process and of the selection and authenticity of its Polynesian ingredients. MONOI means 'Sweet scented Oil' in Reo-Maohi, the ancient language of the Polynesians.

This unique butter is extracted from the seeds of the Theobroma cacao tree. Cocoa butter is ideal for use on dry skin, wrinkles and may help regenerate skin cells and restore elasticity. It has a chocolate/cocoa aroma, which is rich and sweet. Solid and hard to work with at room temperature, cocoa butter needs to be blended with other materials/oils to be workable. It is a valuable addition to handcrafted soaps, lotions, creams and lip balms.

Unrefined shea butter from an organic source, fairly traded with a Ghanaian Woman's Co-operative: Shea butter comes from the kernel of the fruit of the karite tree found growing in arid savannah in West Africa. Shea nuts are first par-boiled then sun dried for 3.5 days before they are baked completely dry. The kernels are pounded to create shea butter which is prized for its moisturising properties as well as being soothing and nourishing to the skin. Used for chapped or dry lips, premature facial lines, dry, flaky, rough or dull skin, chafing, stretch marks, blemishes, blisters and minor scars. It can be used on hands and feet, hair and scalp and also around the eyes. Shea butter is rich in skin nutrients like vitamins A, E and D and it contains a mild, natural sunscreen.

Coconut oil melts into the skin wonderfully and is moisturising and protective. Mango butter (mangifera indica) is obtained from the fruit kernels of the mango tree by cold pressing. It has emollient properties, high oxidative ability, which may help wound healing. It has skin regenerative qualities due to its high hevels of unsaponifiables. It is a lovely rich butter with a very smooth feel on the skin. It may provide some protection against the sun. It is a great addition to homemade soaps, lip, body and massage balms.
Palm Kernel Oil, Solid *
This is a solid white, very fatty and soft wax which is derived from the Palm seed of the Oil Palm Elaeis Guineensis. For skin care, it can be used to add moisturising and protecting properties to all products. It is especially used in cold process soaps, as it saponifies easily.Palm Kernel Oil has a melting point of 35°C and a 2-4 year shelf life.

Avocado & Geranium Night Cream

Avocado is an ages old natural skin nutrient, rich in lecithin and vitamins A, B and D. An excellent and nutritive night cream, avocado is excellent for dry and dehydrated skin and for wrinkles as well. Geranium has long been appreciated for its skin conditioning properties. Ingredients: rose hydrolat, sunflower oil, avocado oil, virgin beeswax and geranium essential oil.
Frankincense Rejuvenating Cream

This is an excellent natural rejuvenating cream for dry or maturing skin. Frankincense is reputed for its ability to help repair damaged skin and the cream also includes macadamia nut oil that helps replenish the palmitoleic acid naturally present in the skin's oil (sebum) but which diminishes as we get older. Also contains carrot oil, which is rich in vitamins B, C, D and E and lime blossom oil, that helps soothe the skin and protect against wrinkles. Ingredients: virgin beeswax, frankincense essential oil, carrot and lime oil, macadamia oil and rose hydrolat.

Ghassoul
Ghassoul (Rhassoul, Moroccan Red Clay) is a fine, silky pale grey powder (or as solid grey pieces) which is rich in minerals such as Silica, Magnesium and Calcium. It is highly esteemed around the world in exclusive professional spas for its cleansing, nourishing, exfoliating and rejuvenating properties. Ghassoul comes from the Arabic word ghassala, meaning to wash. When mixed with water, or floral water, it feels smooth and lubricating as if soap has been applied, although it is also exfoliating and drawing.

Aromatic waters are purposefully made using a special still through a gentle and extended distillation process. This enables both the oil and water-based volatile components to combine, offering a complete expression of the plant. The oil-soluble components are dispersed at low concentration delicately throughout the water, while the water soluble components are in solution.
Loofahs
The loofah is a vegetable sponge that grows in tropical Asia and China. It is a very fast growing annual that produces vines that can grow over 20 feet high in trees and produces dozens of gourds per plant. When fully matured, the dry outer shell of the fruit is removed to reveal the fibrous skeleton of the loofah plant's fruit. These cleansing sponges gently exfoliate the skin, removing dead cells and improving circulation of blood throughout the body. A mainstay in European spas and Asian baths, loofah sponges revitalise the skin and are renowned for their natural ability to heal one's skin.

Rudraksha Bead Chain - or Mala
Made by the Children at the Sri Auribindo Yoga Mandir Trust in the Himalayan mountains, overlooking the Kathmandu valley. The ashram takes care of underprivileged and orphaned children and it is also engaged in diverse progressive activities including an education centre and naturopathy clinic. We are very pleased to be able to support the ashram by buying the Rudrashka, as well as their incense sticks. The children prepare the Rudrashka seeds, before threading.
Rudraksha is a large evergreen broad-leaved tree whose seed is traditionally used for prayer beads in Hinduism. The seeds show variation in the number of grooves on their surface and are cleaned and made into the bead, which is the material from which malas are made. There are 108 beads in a mala, which is worn with red string or a gold chain. There are fewer beads in the novelty mala. It is a type of "rosary" used for prayer in Hinduism. Rudrashka are also used in Indian medicine.
